Craftsman exterior inspection showing siding, window trim, porch columns, and repair tools.

Use it?
Yes. Strong image.

Best use
Use under “Craftsman Porch Repair and Exterior Restoration” or “Siding: Repair Before You Cover Everything.”

Rating: 8.8/10

Why it works
Bright daylight, believable porch scale, good tapered column, wood siding, original-style window trim, ladder, tools, and visible wear. It feels like a real inspection/repair moment.

Realism issues
Looks real enough. No major fake feel.

Old Craftsman siding with peeling paint, window trim, ladder, and repair work.

Use it?
Yes, but not as the main hero.

Best use
Use under “Siding: Repair Before You Cover Everything” or “Paint Prep Can Reveal Bigger Problems.”

Rating: 8.3/10

Why it works
It clearly shows peeling paint, old siding, exposed wood, ladder, porch edge, window trim, and repair need. This is a strong teaching image for old-house exterior problems.

Realism issues
Very believable. The angle is a little tight and less attractive, but that actually helps the repair/investigation feeling.

3) 7X4Rk.jpg

Use it?
Maybe. Not urgent.

Best use
Use as an after / restored porch example, not as a repair image.

Rating: 7.4/10

Why it works
Good porch proportions, tapered columns, stone bases, exposed rafter tails, and simple walkway.

Why it is weaker
It looks too finished. It does not teach renovation problems as clearly as the other two. For this article, it is less valuable than Ox5zJ.jpg and tmmsy.jpg.

Opened wall in an old house showing wiring and plumbing during renovation.

Status: Must use — hidden systems image

Status: Use for bad previous remodel
Use: Yes, if you want the “bad previous remodel” section illustrated

Craftsman interior with wood trim, doorway casing, fireplace, and hardwood floors.

Status: Keep and use if you want another interior detail image
Use: Yes, but secondary
Best role: Trim / room sequence / interior restoration
Why: This is nice and believable. It is weaker than mUoXf.jpg for the main “what to keep” image, but it is still useful because it shows a quieter room-to-room Craftsman interior without furniture taking over.

Status: Keep as a before-room / empty condition image
Use: Yes, but not as a main beauty image

Best role: Built-ins / trim / fireplace detail

Old Craftsman house with front porch, wood trim, and early renovation work.

Overall judgment:
This is the best hero direction so far. It feels like a believable old Craftsman house under renovation, not a fake luxury restoration. The porch, tapered columns, rafter tails, shingle siding, patched paint areas, sawhorse, front walk, and older landscaping all fit the article.

Looks real or fake?
Mostly real-looking. It has strong documentary-photo realism. The materials are much better than the earlier version: wood siding, porch trim, brick bases, roof shingles, and patchy paint prep all read naturally.

Rating: 8.8/10

Realism / AI issues:
Very few issues. The only slight weakness is the porch face is still a little shaded because of the deep eaves and tree canopy. But that is also realistic for a Craftsman porch. The patched paint areas are clear enough, and the tools on the porch help show renovation without making the scene messy.

Coherence issues:
No major problems. The house is modest, the scale is right, the porch is believable, and the renovation work is visible but not overdone. This is exactly the right balance for a hero image.

Cluster reuse
Also good for:

  • Craftsman exterior restoration
  • Craftsman porch column repair
  • Old porch repair
  • Wood step repair
  • Exterior trim rot repair
  • Old house water damage repairs

Verdict:
Keep this version. It is bright enough for your style, and it teaches the repair issue clearly instead of just showing a pretty porch.

Craftsman porch repair with tapered columns, wood steps, railings, and trim work.

Realism / AI issues:
Very believable. The wood texture, peeling paint, new boards, worn step edges, and column base repair all read well. The daylight is bright enough and still natural. No obvious fake-CGI problem.

Coherence issues:
No major issues. The central column base repair is excellent because it shows exactly where Craftsman porches often fail: water at the base, stair edges, trim joints, and decking. The only small weakness is that the porch column is more square than strongly tapered, but it still fits the section.

Craftsman living room and dining room layout with original trim, fireplace, and built-ins.

Realism:
Very believable. This is the most “real photo” feeling of the three. The daylight, wood trim, built-ins, fireplace, dining room opening, floor finish, furniture scale, and old-house proportions all work.

Rating:
9/10

Best role for this image:
Use it to explain Craftsman room layout and original proportions: the wide opening between living and dining, built-ins around the fireplace, wood trim continuity, and how daylight moves through connected rooms.

Why it works:
This image is not only about trim. It shows the full Craftsman interior system: living room, dining room, fireplace wall, built-ins, window rhythm, floor continuity, and the big cased opening between rooms. That makes it better for a section about what not to destroy during renovation.

Craftsman bathroom with wood trim, hex tile floor, subway tile shower, toilet, and vanity.

Use, but not as the strongest image.

Is it realistic?
Mostly yes. The room is believable enough now. The toilet is much better than before because it is against the left wall/window wall and reads as a normal fixture. The overall layout is now logical: toilet left, shower center, vanity right, built-in storage near shower.

Remaining issue:
The toilet is still a little tight under the window and close to the built-in cabinet, but old-house bathrooms are often tight. It no longer looks impossible. The decor is strong: wood trim, built-in shelves, hex tile, subway tile, white shower curtain, wood vanity, marble top, warm light, and old-house window trim.

AI/coherence issues:
The toilet plumbing area and the space between toilet, window, and cabinet are the weakest part. The shower and vanity are better. The image still feels slightly generated, but acceptable for a section image.

Rating:
7.8/10
Good enough to use, but the living room and kitchen are stronger.
